Downtown Myrtle Beach has begun updating the new Arts and Innovation District featuring restaurants, breweries, shops, a performing arts center, and a new city square for events. Some surrounding areas are also new and improved such as Shoppes at Magnolia Row and Shoppes at 70th.
Head to Broadway at the Beach for plenty of shopping, attractions, dining, and nightlife. Be sure to check the website for special events and lively entertainment throughout the summer. Coastal Grand Mall has a multi-screen movie theater, assorted restaurants, and over 100 shops. On the north end, the Myrtle Beach Mall features a Bass Pro Shop for all your hunting, boating, and outdoor needs.
Located on the site of the old Air Force Base, The Market Common has fine dining restaurants, a movie theater, and great shopping set in a beautifully designed urban village environment. Special events are held throughout the year, so check to see what’s planned!
In Pawleys Island, The Hammock Shops Village is home to eccentric shops and unique restaurants. Don’t forget to stop by the Pawleys Island Mercantile and The Candy Cottage to handpick your most beloved sweet treats. The Island Shops, another local gem with a quaint outdoor setting, has a vibrant collection of shops, galleries, and dining.
Just south of Pawleys Island, the stately City of Georgetown has a rich history and a thriving downtown area. Front Street, located along the Sampit River, is charming and the shops are locally owned and operated.
