A National Historic Landmark, AZA accredited zoo and world-renowned sculpture garden, celebrating its 90th year!
From its beginning in 1931 when Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington created this non-profit outdoor museum with its majestic oaks and world-renowned sculpture garden, it has been a place to restore your soul and renew your spirit. Brookgreen Gardens offers an opportunity to stroll through one of the world’s finest sculpture museums and award-winning botanical gardens at the same time! A variety of programs plus cruises through historic ricefields on a pontoon boat are also available. Walk the historic Lowcountry Trail, then it’s on to the Lowcountry Zoo where you will see native animals – alligators, eagles, owls, hawks, foxes, otters, wild turkeys, and deer in their natural habitats. The brilliant sculptures, beautiful gardens, rich historical sites, accredited zoo, and gracious southern hospitality will tempt you to return again and again. That’s why admission to these famous gardens is good for seven consecutive days.
